Sylvania High School started an Academic & Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.  They accept nominations at any time but generally the selections are made in November for the Academic Foundation honoring in the spring and a May/June selection for the Athletic Foundation honoring in the fall.  They hold the nominations for three years.  Criteria is based on an alumni being in good standing, reached a level of notability in their profession, military ranking and/or civic engagement and have graduated 10 years prior to the current year (okay, we all qualify on that one).  They can be living or deceased.
