Comment: | I'm so glad we get this chance to see one another again. Thanks again to all you organizers! We've been in the Cincinnati area for 20 years, and we love it here. I'm still married to my highschool sweetie (SHS '73) Ray, and we have two sons & a daughter-in-law. Our oldest (Brandon) and his wife (Jamie) live in Nashville, and are living a crazy but fascinating life in the music business as country duo "Two Story Road". There first album is due to launch in August 2015. Our youngest is a junior at Belmont Univ in Nashville pursuing a degree in music business, and intends to continue his education in civil law. I manage the quality and compliance depts for a local chemical formulator - loving the diverse responsibilities that come with my job. (And to my old chemistry lab partners of long ago - sorry it took so long but yes, I finally understand it now!) My husband is national sales manager for Organized Living and plays golf whenever he gets the time. I've reconnected with so many of you via Facebook, and am anxious to say hello in person! Looking forward to seeing all my IOE friends! |

Comment: | Updating info from our last Reunion. Excited to reconnect with Classmates at our 50th Reunion in 2025!! We are in the transition stage of our lives. Spending more time in Northern Michigan and Arizona. Our two children live out west, so we are spending more time to be near them. Lots of things fill my life at this point but this past Summer was filled with gardening, Pickle ball, sunset watching, star gazing & looking for the Northern lights! Being surrounded by nature, family & friends make my heart happy! ❤️ |

Comment: | Can't wait to see everyone at the reunion and reconnecting!! So much easier now with technology!! Haven't had a reunion since our 20th at Lourdes College but you know what they say, good things come to those that wait!! Hopefully, this will kick things off so we stay more in contact through the years. Don't want to have so many years in between getting together otherwise next time we could be having races with our walkers!! Getting together with friends from high school is a great shot of nostalgia and fun!! Guaranteed to make you laugh and feel like you are 18 again. No need for botox or plastic surgery to revisit your youth. Besides we are not really ready to become seniors yet and take advantage of special discounts. You know what they say, 50 is the new 40. I did Interior Design for 10 years and owned a retail store for 20 years and now I am onto my next adventure! I am officially an empty nester but much of my time is taken up with four senior pets and three parents in their 80's. I am also the official gardener at our abode. We live on a reservoir and spend a lot of time in the summer entertaining! Give me a call if you are in the Indy area!! |
What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: | I still have long blonde hair which is my secret to looking the same since high school. I am pretty much the same as in high school, still planning events, cherishing friends and being silly having fun. I was on a World Tennis Team that won Nationals. |
Share a favorite memory -- something that made you laugh or cry or feel pride in your school...share: | How, can I pick just one! Traveling to the Burnham building as sophomores and accidently rolling down the hill, flaming splints in Chemistry, pep band, Honor students doing dishonorable things and spending time in The Pub with Mr. Marlo for yearbook. |
Who was your favorite teacher?: | Miss Graber(Biology) & Mr. Marlo. But some teachers were just legendary Mr. Sheronick, Mr. Able, Madame Vardinakis & Mrs. Engle. Not to mention the music dept. with Watson & Field, Alleshouse & Davis. |
Share an embarrassing moment or a prank that was played on someone else or on you...: | When wasn't there pranks going on in Orchestra when the band members joined for pre-concert practice. A mouse on the drums, bubbles in the baritones/tubas, stealing music and playing the wrong parts. Poor Mr. Alleshouse was in tears! Running jokes were the name of the game in The Pub. Earlier years, we threw coats out of the window in Miss Barley's classroom & loved to do imitations and make parodies of our beloved teachers. Now it could be a stand up comedy act! |

Comment: | Where has the time gone? It doesn't seem like 35 years. I have been to one of my reunions (10yr). I left Sylvania after graduation and started school at Eastern KY University with my major in Art. Natalie Edinger and Cindy Griffin also went to EKU. Natalie and I did a semester abroad in Mexico. I think that our parents were way too trusting to let let us go! I moved to Louisville with my parents the next year and finished my school. I taught and did photograghy for 5 years. In a career change, I went back to school and worked in the insurance and investment field for 15 years managing reps. I have been blessed with great friends like Sheryl Heuerman Wiener who kept in touch with me over the years. My oldest was in her wedding as a ring bearer and our families try to get together yearly. In 1992, my husband and I moved to Orlando for our work. We have two great sons. Todd is a CPA and is now attending Columbia University for a MBA. Alex is a sophmore in high school playing water polo and swimming. Life is beach for him! We are blessed with our family and good friends. Looking forward to seeing everyone. |
