Ann Vinod (Harding)

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: VP of Finance
Comment: I was drawn to the airline business in Dallas after finishing school and working in Boston. This was a wise decision because it was in the Operations Research department of American Airlines where I met my husband. Through spinoffs and outsourcing, I worked at Sabre and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). I directed many functions including systems development, technology planning, infrastructure business development and service level management.

Retiring in 2006 to spend more time with my family enabled me to spend more time playing flute. I play with two orchestras and a flute choir. I serve on the board of The Texas Flute Society in many positions including president and trustee. I also serve on the board of the Northeast Orchestra as treasurer.

My husband, Ben, was SVP and Chief Scientist at Sabre when he decided to retire at the beginning of COVID. With his newfound free time, we combined forces with a few of his friends to start a software company that has developed a comprehensive cloud-based flight management system for air charter operators. It has been very exciting to see the product grow and be used by our customers.

My daughter, Kathryn, loves her job at a large retail company in Irving, TX where she specializes in data analytics. She is the principal flutist for the Northeast Orchestra. She spends her free time, along with her wonderful husband, chasing their three-year-old son. My son, Avi, is a software engineer at a large investment bank in Houston.

To our children’s dismay, we are maximizing our travels to discover as many new places as possible. I am sorry to miss this reunion but we will be at home for two days before heading off on our next adventure.
