Comment: Where does the time go?  In my 60's now and finally became a grandmother to the most beautiful babies in the world!

I've had great years and low years.  I've learned life is not fair, nor is it easy.  But I've also learned that you have to cherish your friends and you have to make time to laugh and have fun, because when you get old, you are going to want to remember the fun.  I've learned life is short, so don't take yourself too seriously.

I've also learned that Sylvania was a pretty great place to grow up and that I miss it.  I can't wait to see all of you!

Brief recap of the last 40 years:  Miami of Ohio (English major).  Moved to Columbus Ohio during the blizzard of '78.  Got in at CompuServe on the ground floor of an amazing company and stayed for 25 years.  I absolutely loved working there.  Married twice, one wonderful son, Bradley, who's almost 40 and has blessed me with a grandson, named David and granddaughter Lois.  Second husband worked with me at CompuServe and we had some GREAT years.   David passed away in 2008 from a sudden heart attack.  That was the low point of my life.

I found a new career at CAS in Patent Acquisitions, and will have to keep working until 70. I'm over working, but my wallet isn't.

For enjoyment I am the commissioner of a Fantasy Golf league, and I still adore Las Vegas, although I don't go as often as I did when David was alive.  I enjoy most spending time with my family and especially my two adorable grandchildren!

Can't wait to see everyone!

Getting a standing ovation for Bye Bye Birdie. Singing Brian's Song with a small ensemble at the Cat's Meow. Breaking the school record in the 1/2 mile in track!
Who was your favorite teacher?: Louis Davis, Pat Kelso, Fred Marlo
Share an embarrassing moment or a prank that was played on someone else or on you...: Filming a Christmas special for TV, the choir had to share sheet music. In my case, that meant Jim Rigby had to look over my shoulder. Claudia Helmkamp wrote my true feelings for Jim (mushy young LOVE feelings) all over the margins of the sheet music without me knowing. Every time we turned a page, I wanted to kill her! Ah, young, embarrassing love...

After graduating from Miami University, I spent two years in Rochester, NY and Harrisburg, PA. before moving to Cincinnati where I have lived for 19 years.  My husband Harry and I have two boys Bill and Daniel.  Bill is a rising junior at Dartmouth College where he is a member of the Dartmouth tennis team.  Daniel will head off to Duke University this fall as a Robertson Scholar.  Daniel is a five year survivor of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  We are blessed that he responded so well to the treatments.  Life was certainly put into perspective these past five years.

I returned to work for Karl Storz Endoscopy   after a seven year retirement.  I am a Marketing Manager & Corporate Liason working for KSEA at Ethicon Endo-Surgery.  (any surgeons or OR nurses out there?) It was life saving to return to work after enduring all the chemotherapiy and hospital stays with my son.

I am blessed that both my parents are still living in their house on Indian Trail, and my sister Julie (class of '73) lives in the Dayton area just 45 minutes away.  Sheryl Heuerman Weiner, Hillview Elementary, Arbor Hills Junior High, Sylvania HS, and Miami U friend lives in Cincinnati just 10 minutes away!

I have been fortunate to travel quite a bit, and we now own a townhouse right on the beach in Siesta Key,FL.  We enjoy our time on the beach, and try to get down there as often as we can.
