We have been on the East Coast for 25 years. My job brought us here and we have stayed. For many years we lived near Philadelphia, and 2 hours from DC and 2 hours from New York.

Lovely area.

We have recently moved to CT and are enjoying New England!

I have had many different careers. I worked for over 20 years for Dupont. After that finished my Masters in Education and taught Special Education and 2nd grade for a while. That was not a great fit and so now I am working in the non profit sector. I spent 4 years at The Salvation Army of Delaware as the Business Administrator (CFO). Most recently I have changed positions and I am the CFO of YWCA of Delaware. The YWCA is a variety of programs designed to empower women and eliminate racism. Services include housing, career counseling, life skills and community advocacy.

I am very involved in a faith based middle school for girls of low economic means. The school is part of a National Model of over 64 schools which are designed to prepare low income students for rigorous high schools and then on to college. The school is Serviam Girls Academy. Check us out on the web. Serviamgirlsacademy.org

My husband Tom Bacon works for a regional utility company in a really technical area that only he can explain!!

We have 2 beautiful daughters.

Victoria is in graduate of McDaniel Colleg and just received her MSW from University of CT. She makes beautiful jewelry and is  a very good golfer! I someimes wonder if she really enjoys the fancy pink golf bag best.

Eleanor ( aka"Elle") is a recent graduate of College of Wooster .She plays the French Horn and sings like an angel. She will be starting a position at Middlebury College in Middlebury VT this fall.

I would love to hear from folks. My email is skhood06@gmail.com

Who was your favorite teacher?: Mrs. Graber.. I loved Biology and of course Mr. Davis

Comment: It's so hard to believe it has been 35 years!  The years go by too quickly.  After graduation I married my first husband in 1976 and we had two great sons.  Kris is now 33 and lives in Melbourne , FL with his better half Victoria and my 2 grandbabies(Maison 4 and Kyiarra 5) and Eric is 30 and lives in Toledo and is single.  Both boys were born while my ex was in the Air Force -Kris in Denver, CO and Eric in Oscoda, MI.  We divorced in 1986.  I ve been with my husband, John for 23 years.  We have 3 beautiful kids  - Marissa who just turned sweet 16, Ashley who is 13 and Jonathan who is 9.  Marissa is a sophomore @ Notre Dame Academy and Ashley will be a freshman there in the fall.  Jonathan will be a 5th grader in the fall.  It's hard to believe my daughters are both in high school now.  My husband has run his own business for 25+ years here in Toledo.  In 1986, I received my associates degree in Medical Assisting and worked for Dr Frank Michota for 8 years  in Sylvania.  I also traveled 3 states for many years conducting drug testing for Conrail. I have worked for APPS for the last 13 years as a paramedical examiner. We have lived in the Old West End for 14 years.  I really love our beautiful and diverse neighborhood.  I don't have alot of free time -kids activities and work keep me pretty busy -but when I have time I like to read, watch old movies or play slots on the computer.   We also have 2 cats - Angel and DJ.  Can't wait to see everybody in July!
Share a favorite memory -- something that made you laugh or cry or feel pride in your school...share: I'll never forget the day I was in Study hall in junior year looking out the window when suddenly 2 or 3 senior guys went riding by on ten speeds totally naked! It was hilarious!
Who was your favorite teacher?: my anatomy teacher Miss Graber and psychology teacher Mr Brandeberry
Share an embarrassing moment or a prank that was played on someone else or on you...: Again, one day in study hall(freshman year this time), I was attempting to pass a note to my friend(Estelle Pompili) when Mr Perry caught me and made me stand up in front of the class and read the note out loud. I was so embarrassed and I've hated him ever since.

Comment: Hi Everyone,

We have lived in California for 22 years.  My son Derek is 29, married and has a 9 month old son, his name is Elek.  Elek is my first grandchild and he is so much fun. My daughter Crista is 28 and is going to CSUSB for her Masters.  I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the class reunion.  It sounds like it's going to be a good time and it would be great to see everyone.

Kathryn Jacoby (Tate)

Marital status: Divorced
Children: 3
Occupation: Business Management/Dance Instructor/Voiceover Artist
Comment: Hi Everyone! What happened to the last 48 years?  My life has been all over the map since high school - married twice: once too young, and divorced within 3 years; the second time lasted over 20 years before we parted ways. Three beautiful, successful sons came from those unions and all live in Richmond, VA where I lived for over 30 years. Spent over 13 years in lower/middle management at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, first in Toledo then here in Richmond. Left to be a full time stay-at-home mom and help manage my second husband's business. After nine+ years of that, went back to work in administration, then GM for a construction company (go figure) and now am the Business Admin and CFO for a high end landscape design/build/property management firm. Through it all I have continued to pursue my education, my creative outlets (writing, art, & dance), and have been published multiple times, sold my artwork and photography, and developed a passion for Salsa and Latin dance and began teaching it at the beginner and intermediate level. My newest love is Argentine Tango...I hope to get to Buenos Aires inone day to take lessons from some of the masters there! Have traveled all over the U.S., Canada, the UK, France, India, Mexico, and the Caribbean, soaking up the local cultures everywhere I go. Next on my agenda for travel is South America! I feel amazingly blessed that my life's journey has turned out as it has and am looking forward to the NEXT 50 years!!!
What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: Maybe that I still write poetry and am working on publishing a photography and poetry book? Or maybe that I have been a Latin dance instructor??
Share a favorite memory -- something that made you laugh or cry or feel pride in your school...share: Gosh, there are so many! Football games, after dances, Spanish class w/ Senor Garcia, Spanish Festival, doing \'Fiddler on the Roof\' in musical comedies (with Tony Sheehan as Tevye and me playing matchmaker Yenta for Vicki Smith)
Who was your favorite teacher?: Senor Garcia, Mrs. Hutchisson, Mrs. Engel
Share an embarrassing moment or a prank that was played on someone else or on you...: Believe it or not, nobody ever pranked me and I never pranked anyone else! As for embarrassing moments...who wants to talk about THOSE!?! LOL... I do remember one day in the cafeteria I tossed a Michigan cherry at Tom Fridrick and hit him in the head with it unintentionally. He got SO mad and came over and yelled at me in front of everyone. I was so embarrassed I wanted to crawl under the table! We were good friends, but he didn\'t speak to me for DAYS.

Hello! Looking forward to the reunion at last!

I live in N. California in the Sierra Foothills between Sacramento and S. Lake Tahoe.  Much has transpired since 1975 but in a nutshell, travelled the country after graduation with Jan Glase, went to Kent State and then moved to Scottsdale, Az.  After three years of the desert, I backbacked Europe with a friend for a spring and summer and then settled into Northern California.

I fell in love with the midwestern atmosphere of this area but get to enjoy the fantastic weather, scenery and lifestyle of California.  I live on a 5 acre ranch with 4 llamas, 2 alpacas, 5 cats and one gigantic Great Dane.  I get to work from my home but travel all over the country including coming to Sylvania.  Have really enjoyed Australia and Africa is next on the bucket list!

I have good memories of Sylvania and still think it's a great place to grow up.  I still keep in close touch with Sheryl Heuerman, Sally Poole, Mary Sue Bond, Craig Roberts and Jan Glase so it never seems like much time has passed.

What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: I'm a vegetarian who hates veggies
Who was your favorite teacher?: Mrs. Hudson
Share an embarrassing moment or a prank that was played on someone else or on you...: I was in some silly sorority and during rush, I made Sheryl Heuerman and Mary Sue Bond stand up at the front of algebra class and sharpen their pencils forever, wear weird clothes and do anything I demanded. Sorry girls! :(

Julia Juhl (Friesner)

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Elementary School Teacher/Media Specialist

Dale Karo (Scheer)

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Physical Therapist
Comment: It's still hard for me to believe that after graduating early from SHS, I started a long trail of homes and jobs from Chicago to Israel to Florida to Australia, back to Israel, and finally now living and working in New Jersey.  I always claim that I like a low key, calm life, but besides my work as a physical therapist, nothing has been steady for too long. From my first marriage I have two wonderful kids, Maia-24 and Tomy-21, and six years ago my happy-go-lucky husband Ron brought his 4 kids into the mix to make our own modern day Israeli version of the Brady bunch---ugh! Our stories could definitely make a sit-com, but I'm still looking for that calm life!!!

I so wanted to be at the reunion-only cancelled my hotel reservation yesterday in case anyone wants to take it.  Unfortunately, a new job and too many family celebrations in the near future make it impossible to make the trip.  I'd love to hear from old friends-so be in touch!
What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: Besides a few community musicals, my flute has a very cozy place in the closet---no time with all the changes in my life!
Share an embarrassing moment or a prank that was played on someone else or on you...: I still smile when I think of the look on Mr Allshouse' face when the band members blasted out with a rowdy rendition of a movement of 'Carmen' instead of Pomp and Circumstance at a commencement rehearsal.

Nancy Kezur (Weed)

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: teacher
Comment: I look forward to seeing "old" friends! What I'm doing now - I've been married for 31 years to Steve Kezur - he owns a steel company in Toledo.  We have 2 children Brian 27 & Brittany 25.  They are both married and we are expecting our first grandchild in april.  I am a teacher & asst. managing director of a private pre-school in sylvania - this is my 18th year.  Most people downsize when the children leave home - but not us!  We built a very large home on 5.5 acres.  It is our party house and we are enjoying every minute!!  If anyone needs a place to stay for the reunion - let me know!
What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: I'm not the quiet person anymore like I was in high school;

Holly Kowalczk (Baron)

Comment: Wow.  I just can't figure out how to put 35 years into a paragraph or two!  Find me at the reunion and I will tell all!!  It will be wonderful to see all of your smiling faces.
What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: I am a 7 year cancer survivor and I really did tap dance on Broadway at the age of 40...um...really.
Share a favorite memory -- something that made you laugh or cry or feel pride in your school...share: I will always have wonderful memories of my Bye Bye Birdie experience! What a blast!
Who was your favorite teacher?: Fred Marlo! He was tough and expected a lot from us. It was great to be able to work at our own pace a goof off when we finished our pages. I also loved Mrs. Engle especially when she would get out there and dance with the Cat-ettes...she was way cool!
Share an embarrassing moment or a prank that was played on someone else or on you...: I will never forget the day that Mrs. Valo took our entire science class into the hall and hit every one of us with her big paddle! Unbelievable!!
