Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Maternal & infant nutritionist/registered dietitian
Comment: I'm looking forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones with people I didn't get to know as well at SHS.  Old high school friends are the best kind of friends because they have seen you at your most awkward and silliest moments and they still like you!

After high school, I received my bachelor's at the University of Toledo and my master's at the University of Michigan. I married my wonderful husband, Shin, in '86 and we have two great sons, ages 16 and 11. I am a maternal and infant nutritionist/registered dietitian in Pontiac.  Shin is a quality manager at Bosch.  Our children's activities take up quite a bit of time, but we do like to sail, ski, and travel whenever possible.  Lately, we  have been taking a salsa dance class!

As I reflect on the past 35 years, I feel that while my everyday life is ordinary, I have extraordinary people in my life and that keeps things interesting!
What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: I really love skiing now. I was afraid to join the Ski Club in high school because I was afraid that I would fall and break a leg!
Share a favorite memory -- something that made you laugh or cry or feel pride in your school...share: I really enjoyed listening to the pep band play at all the basketball games...I remember cruising (uh...surveillance) with Gayle, Debbie, Holly and others in Gayle's Pinto.
Who was your favorite teacher?: I liked all of my teachers, especially Ms. Graber, Mr. Hogan and Ms. Hudson.
Share an embarrassing moment or a prank that was played on someone else or on you...: One time we had a substitute teacher in phys. ed. class and Sandy Cummins and I pretended that we were from the Soviet Union and could only speak broken English with a heavy Russian accent!

Comment:

Would love to see my favorite friends: Joanne, Linda, Sally, Patti, Kim, Jay, Jeff, and many more ... I know that you are not all here, but wouldn't  it be great to see each other now?

I have had a full life, many careers and experiences.  I am recently working as an art teacher in an elementary school.  My husband is known as Mr. Wonderful.  No kids (but always a dog in the house hold) and I no longer weigh 110 lbs. but I still look pretty good. We have relocated to Sylvania and are loving every minute of it.  It has been really hard watching the tear-down of the Burnham building.  Really, I think I could hear it groaning as it went down.

What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: Not so surprising...I think my husband and I may have set the World's Record for dating at 24 years...then we tied the knot. For many years, we lived five blocks away from one another.
Who was your favorite teacher?: Going way back..Barbara Urbain or Mr. Jung, or Mr. Gilhooly...or was it Mr. Garcia, yes, he was the best-magnifico!

I've had some great careers, and glad to be retired after 50 years of successful employment!

Comment: Hello from London. I so look forward to this reunion!

Let's see ... I moved to California after graduation (Bay Area) where I lived for 13 years. Did my BA at Berkeley (philosophy). Worked at the Berkeley campus station, which is how, through a mutual friend, I met my husband Kieron. He's a Brit. We married in 1989, and I have been living here ever since.

. I have been at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for the last 17 years. I'm in charge of continuing education. Loooove this job: it allows me to travel, combines policy and commercial expertise, takes in lots of government work, and is generally a blast. For six years before that, I worked in direct marketing for the UKs largest childrens' charity (yes, children and architects can have alot in common.)

Live and work in London, close to the centre. We have a small flat, which we share with two cats. We travel a great deal, the rest of Europe being on our doorstep and cheap and quick to get to.

Siblings and parents are all doing well. Both parents have had health scares, but they are still doing great.

If you ever find yourself over here, look us up! We have a gorgeous art deco building at work, and nothing is finer than a coffee on our outdoor cafe terrace in fine weather.
What would your friends be the most surprised to know about you now?: That I live in London
Who was your favorite teacher?: Marge Engel

Occupation: School Psychologist
Comment:

After graduating from high school, I attended Miami University where

I majored in psychology and sociology, and then
Syracuse University

where I completed all but the dissertation for a doctorate in school

psychology.  For the next 15 years, I developed and coordinated

services for students with disabilities at several community colleges

in
New YorkSyracuse University, and the University of Vermont.

For the last 10 years, I have worked for the
Stern Center for

Language and Learning, a nonprofit organization providing

remediation/tutorial support for all learners, comprehensive

psychoeducational evaluations for individuals with suspected

disabilities, and research based training of educators.  While I work

with students of all ages and disabilities, my expertise lies

primarily with adolescents, college students, and those attending

graduate, law, or medical school, who have disorders in

attention or learning.

While working at Syracuse University, I met my wonderful husband, Thodd.  We have been married for 19 years and have two amazing children:  Kevin (14) and Kristyn (11).
